Justus' 1st Game

Justus had his first game of the season last Thursday. He is on the Hamilton High School J.V. team and wears the #8. He is a backup Q.B., but starts at Running Back and also plays defense. He has heard talk of being moved up to varsity as a running back by the time district play gets here in a couple of weeks. We'll see! As a mama, I REALLY like him being on J.V. - smaller players equals less pain for him, but I want him to be happy and be the best he can be. I think it would be an honor to him to be on Varsity and it would help him to not be so disappointed about not playing Q.B. Anyhoo, we had fun at his first game! They won 26-0 and Justus did score a touchdown and also ran in for 2. Go Bulldogs!

Hey Shannon! Oh my goodness, it is so good to hear from you! Your boys are so cute! I cannot believe you have 2 more! Are ya'll still youth ministers or do you do anything else? I will put a link from my blog to yours. Check out my sisters...she is the Scarbroughs. She has 2 beautiful children who I love with all my heart. There is also a link to Bradley Chow's blog. Please keep in touch! Love, Allison

Hey Allison,
I'm so glad to hear from you, too! We are not in youth ministry anymore officially. Richard is pastor of the church we are serving now. He is the only staff, though, so we did take our youth to camp this past summer. Just like old times! :) We are hoping to hire a music/youth minister soon. I did see pics of Rachel and her little ones on your facebook page. They are too cute! I feel so old, but it's so good to see how beautiful y'all are and how good y'all are doing! I'll put a link from my blog to yours, too, and I'll definitely "visit" Rachel at her blog and Bradley at his. It's great to hear from you! Please let's do keep in touch!
Love,
Shannon

I love this time of year, too, Cameron. Football is fun to watch and we really do have fun at Justus' games. We have really gotten to know a lot of the parents and now Graham sees his friends from school. It's just a fun community event!
P.S. We watched Alabama play Saturday-pretty impressive! I can't wait to watch Auburn; their game wasn't televised.

Rebecca, maybe you will get to see your little man play football. I'll be sure and pass down all the apparel for him to wear!
